I started my career building a logistics function from the ground up for a global cosmetics brand entering Romania. No playbook. No template. Just a mandate to make it work. That experience — of designing something operational from zero — shaped everything that followed.

Over the next two decades, I led supply chains and operations across some of the most demanding environments in Central and Eastern Europe: a Philip Morris manufacturing facility managing €600M in annual turnover; a food manufacturing turnaround where the Board needed results, not recommendations; one of CEE's largest spirits operations that hadn't made a profit in six years; and Romania's most complex logistics network, designed from scratch for a nationwide government mandate.

What I learned is that most operational problems have known solutions. The bottleneck is usually execution — the ability to move fast, make hard calls, bring people with you, and stay in the room long enough to see the results materialize.
